No ticket matched all six numbers in Saturday night's Powerball drawing, pushing the jackpot up to an estimated $360 million with a cash option of $149.8 million. The prize had already been building since Wednesday's drawing failed to produce a winner, and Saturday's results mean the pot will keep growing heading into the new week.

Saturday's winning numbers
The white balls drawn Sept. 26 were 14, 40, 52, 55 and 57, with a red Powerball of 24. The Power Play multiplier was 3x, meaning smaller prizes for eligible ticket holders were tripled.
In Arizona, the same drawing also produced winning numbers for several other state games, including The Pick (04-05-06-25-31-35), Fantasy 5 (05-07-12-15-34), Triple Twist (03-14-20-21-34-40) and the Pick 3 Evening draw (8-1-7).
When is the next drawing?
Powerball players get another shot on Monday, Sept. 28, with the drawing scheduled for around 10:59 p.m. ET. Powerball holds drawings three times a week — Monday, Wednesday and Saturday — and the results can be streamed live on the game's official website or watched afterward on its YouTube channel.
How Powerball works
A single Powerball ticket costs $2. To play, a person picks five numbers between 1 and 69 for the white balls and one number between 1 and 26 for the red Powerball, or lets the terminal generate numbers with a Quick Pick. Matching all five white balls plus the red Powerball wins the jackpot; any other combination of matches pays a smaller, fixed prize.
Players can also spend an extra $1 per ticket on the Power Play add-on, which boosts non-jackpot winnings by 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x or, in some cases, 10x. According to Arizona Lottery rules, that 10x multiplier is only in play when the jackpot sits at $150 million or below.
Powerball tickets are sold in 45 states, Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands, with online sales available in some jurisdictions depending on local law. A player does not need to be a U.S. citizen or resident to buy a ticket or claim a prize — anyone who meets the local minimum age, typically 18, can play while in a participating state, though winners living outside the U.S. may still owe taxes on their winnings.
Claiming a prize
Rules for cashing in vary slightly by state. In Arizona, for example, retailers can pay out tickets worth up to $599, while anything above that must be claimed by mail or in person at an Arizona Lottery office in Phoenix, Tucson, Kingman or at Sky Harbor International Airport. Winners submitting a claim need a completed winner claim form, the signed ticket and a government-issued ID.
The biggest jackpots on record
Saturday's $360 million prize is still far from Powerball's largest-ever payouts. The record remains the $2.040 billion jackpot won in California in November 2022, followed by an $1.817 billion win in Arkansas last December and a $1.787 billion jackpot split between Missouri and Texas in September 2025. Other billion-dollar-plus wins have gone to players in California, Oregon and Illinois, with the most recent — a $1 billion jackpot — claimed in Illinois this past August.
